چکیده
Background/Aims: The aim of present study was to find out profile and sequential pattern Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) in critically ill Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients.
 Study Design: Observational prospective study.
Methodology: A total 80 Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT PCR) positive cases; that needed ICU admission for their life-threatening conditions were included this done at teaching hospital Gujarat, India. Non consenting patients who could not be followed up as per protocol excluded. Data (ABG), performed on admission, day 5 10 taken the analysis. Patients till they remained ICU.
Results: Of patients, 3 had normal, 24 (30%) primary disorder ABG while 53 (66.25%) mixed disorders. most common abnormality observed respiratory alkalosis with metabolic acidosis 16 (20%) 15 (18.75%). There difference among survivors non-survivors (P=.04); which conspicuous presence “respiratory acidosis” (15.63%), seen survivors. admitted COVID ICU; 2 improved after 1; 6 5; 40 10, making 48 surviving critical condition. 32 non-survivors, 14 died within twenty-four hours first days 04 stay.
Conclusion: serially severe COVID-19 gives useful information underlying pathophysiology. Mixed more than single can sign multi-organ involvement. Respiratory significantly higher non-survivors. a part or found patients.

Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gas
Accuracy of blood-glucose measurements using glucose meters and arterial blood gas analyzers in critically ill adult patients: systematic review
INTRODUCTION Glucose control to prevent both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia is important in an intensive care unit. Arterial blood gas analyzers and glucose meters are commonly used to measure blood-glucose concentration in an intensive care unit; however, their accuracies are still unclear. METHODS We performed a systematic literature search (January 1, 2001, to August 31, 2012) to find clin...

Studies on tight glycemic control by intensive insulin therapy abruptly changed the climate of limited interest in the problem of hyperglycemia in critically ill patients and reopened the discussion on accuracy and reliability of glucose sensor devices. This article describes important components of blood glucose measurements and their interferences with the focus on the intensive care unit set...
